Final Blog

Your final blog post is a reflective one. Go back to your first blog post, where you introduced yourself as a student and set a goal for class. Now that you're coming to the end of this class, what has changed for you as a student? What do you feel more confident in now than you did at the beginning of class? Were you able to meet your goal (or do you think you will by the end of the semester)? Why or why not? What is one skill you developed or improved that you will use throughout the remainder of your time at CNU? Aim for 150 words. There are many things that have changed for me as a student and as a person. I now know that major I want to partake in, instead of being business undecided, I am going to declare major to be accounting with a minor in leadership. Some of the things I feel more confident in, besides in general, are my some of interpreting and reading skills. I believe this class has allowed me to open up and be able to understand the world around me more than I had ...

How have you approached doing research and finding sources for previous research papers? How do you know a source is credible? How do you decide what information or quotations to use from a source? What advice have you been given from previous classes or professors that help make the research process easier? Aim for about 150 words In the past I have approached doing research from a few angles, typically a google or google scholar based ChatGBT search when it was applicable for me to do so as well as personally going to school provided library databases. I know a source is credible if it is peer reviewed, amongst other things. Since I am typically researching a topic I know nothing about I typically use a good bit of information provided within my resources. Since it is typically not common knowledge I paraphrase or give credit in many large sections of many of my writings. I typically only quote if I find words used exactly as needed by reliable sources. I can not say I h...

wh at do you find to be the most challenging part of a research project? Is it creating a good thesis? Finding reliable sources? Getting your ideas down the way you like? What have you struggled with when doing research writing in the past, and what has helped you be successful? Aim for about 150 words. What I find to be the most challenging part of a research paper is a combination of sources and expressing my ideas. I find that I am a slow writer and often cannot write good papers when I am not extremely confident on the material, hence a reason I prefer personal essays. When I have done research writing in the past I always had difficulty finding good and reliable sources and retaining the information they gave me to be able to use that information in my own way. I haven't really found how to combat this yet but I believe that I can a way to fix it. Some of my ideas include using Ai as a tool to help locate and check resources, of course I would confirm its sayings and view the...

The reading, writing about comics and graphic novels is an informative essay to discuss the outlines of how comics and graphic novels work. The reading describes how the illustrations play into the understanding and dialog of text as well as how specific art styles or changes in those art styles can mean different things. The comic Duck, is about a young woman moving away from home to make money to pay off her student debt obtained while in college.  The  Duck showcases the talking points of the reading, Writing about comics and graphic novels. it does so by displaying its different panels and different art styles. Duck specifically is interesting due to its story line. the young woman, trapped in her small town meets resistance from her family when she decides she needs to leave. However her uncle happens to give her the best advice, to get a specific job in the oil sands. this leads our protagonist on a journey that will change her life. I find the connection of family to be...

Blog Post 6 Game Post Zelda

Summary  The Article, GAMING, describes what a game is, the different meanings and interpretations as well as the types, Video, Role playing, board, or card. the article goes into further detail on the subjects describing some games and their premises and what makes them fun or intriguing. The game we played in class, Zelda, is a fantasy adventure open world game. In class we discovered the general mechanics for the game and the different activities you can do to acquire resources. I personally learned the affects of cooking and how to climb mountains and  work the bow. Comment while reading the GAMING article I thought the amount of James bond references was unneeded. The connection between the article and Zelda can be from how the article talks about open world or sandbox games. It mentions how sandboxes are typical run with match with Zelda's.  With Zelda's ability to run around the map and interact with objects in the world such as wildlife and structure allows the pl...

Avatar the last airbender follows a group of children on their quest to reach the north pole, while avoiding an evil fire wizard, to help one of them learn magic tricks. in the episodes we see back stories from both the children and the fire wizard who in all don't seem to be that different from each other. The episodes are Kernels to the plot of the story and allows us to understand how the characters act. our readings describe television narrative structure, thinks like kernels, so that we can label discuss and dissect aspects in a show.   When Zukos mom disappeared, the fire lord at the time said that his son, zukos father, should pay for insisting that he being the next fire lord. I am unaware what actually happens after that but i theorize that the mother was a sacrifice/ send away due to needing to toughen up zuko in some way shape or form.  believe this to be a satellite due to how any aspect of how it the action generally happened would still have the same affect ...

Blog Post 4 Writing reflection

The most challenging part of writing an essay for collage in my experience has depended on the type of Essay or paper. If it is a research paper than the finding of the recourse's to translating is the hardest. though in general finding the right words in the right sequence is a general struggle of me. I feel as though my vocabulary could also be expanded and I have a hard time moving along with my thoughts. even now I struggle to be able to connect thoughts and ideas together.  I think most of the struggle comes from my dysgraphia, though typically it is prevalent with handwriting, I believe it transfers over into my disorganized structure. It may also be why I have random capitalization through my work.  The most enjoyable part of writing an essay would have to be when I am writing about a topic am passionate about. When I am passionate in my writing the sentence structure flows better and I have a better inclination to keep my thoughts on track and flowing rather tha...
