Summary: My writing self in limited words

Question

My name is Trevor D. Perdieu. I am 19 years of age, I am a sophomore, and my major is Business undecided. I am in this class because of its requirement, but also because I want to learn how to improve my writing. I have a great many weaknesses and cannot communicate them all within such a limited space. To be brief, I have dysgraphia, which is similar-ish to dyslexia. I do not have accommodations due to needing to be retested. essentially, my handwriting is horrendous, and I mix up letters and words. I can be looking at a dog but be thinking about birds, and then call said dog a bird. It happens all the time and is why I stumble on some of the words I speak. Separately, I also have a tendency to capitalize letters in the middle of a sentence, which is unexplainable. Something that would help me in this class would be simply understanding that my pace of learning and test-taking is slower than most, and communicating, if necessary, on how to sharpen myself.

  1. Trevor, thank you for your honest reflection. I haven't heard of dysgraphia, so I appreciate the explanation and how this presents itself. I can absolutely support your learning needs, and I also appreciate you explaining what these are.
